Facebook Helps Reunite Man with Missing Dog

A missing dog was reunited with its family in Texas after being found over 1,000 miles away in South Carolina.

The dog, named Ace, was picked up by a truck driver in his home town of Texas who then drove him to South Carolina where he was found by Jessica Nielsen and turned over to Brannon Lewis. After contacting Tommy Filla, the son of Ace’s owner Leroy, Lewis reached out on facebook to find someone willing to drive the dog home to Texas.
“When Tommy said it was his dad’s dog and he was older and struggling with Parkinson’s, I was like we have to get him home,” Lewis told
Eventually a woman named Kelly Warr volunteered to make the 13-hour drive to deliver the dog, who picked up the nickname “Travelin’ Ace” back to his owners.
After traveling through several states and taking numerous photos along the way, Ace was finally reunited with the Filla family. Tommy posted a video of the dog with his father and went on to express his gratitude.
“Dad is very appreciative for all that has been done for Ace,” he wrote in a Facebook post..
