Benue State polytechnic Students Protest Sudden Increment Of Their School Fees

The students of Benue State Polytechnic Ugbokolo today, took to the streets to protest sudden increment of their school fees by the state government a few days back.

The plarcard-carrying protesters blocked the Otukpa-Otukpo Federal road while expressing the abnormal increment of their school fees by the state government.

It was made known that the Benue State Government recently increased their school fees by hundred per cent which did not go well with the students. According to them, the increment was politically motivated, adding that the aim was to ‘de-literate’ the Idoma Nation

The students said National Diploma 1 Student of the institution is now paying N65, 000 as against N30, 000 of last session, which is not a good idea from the government of Benue State. The students, however, urged the state government to revert the increase in the school fees.
