The Kwara State Commissioner for Communications, Mrs Olaitan Abosede Buraimoh don charge the staff and management of Kwara State Television Authority, to Self develop themselves so as not to lack technical knowledge of equipments requested for by the institution.
The statement was made at the Kwara Television Authority premises at Apata Yakuba, Ilorin, when the management and staff of the institution warmly welcomed the commissioner and her team during an inspection visit paid to the Television Station.
“We were prompted to be here due to the unencouraging state of the station, and I assure you that His Excellency, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq has passion for resuscitating this Television Station, which brought about the appointment of a new General Manager,.
Buraimoh encouraged them to manage the facilities available, pending the time for resuscitation, she also urged for focus, diligence and dedication in carrying out their duties.
Directing the management of Kwara Television Authority, Olaitan urged them to put forward a brief with content of all their challenges without leaving anyone out, as it will be tailored to the right channel.
Earlier speaking was the General Manager, Kwara Television Authority, Mr Micheals Olatunde, who lamented on the many challenges faced by the Television Station which is keeping it from running outrightly.
He applauded the Honourable Commissioner and her team for deeming it fit to check on them, as he has not heard or experienced such a visit in the past.
Olatunde sought government’s intervention in order to achieve goals and be able to generate revenue for the state as well.
On the Entourage of the Commissioner was the Permanent Secretary, Hajia Rabiat Mopelola Abdulrahman, Director Personnel Finance and Supply, Alhaji Hassan Taiwo Afodun, Director Public Orientations, Alhaji Adeniyi Kazeem and other staff of the ministry.
