Friends and associates who once regarded him as the obvious successor to the iconic Igbo leader, Ezeigbo Gburugburu, Chief Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu are horrified at Obi’s steady decline.

However, fresh revelation indicates that Obi outward saintliness has always had a
sordid lining within. The story making the round now is that the Governor
Emeritus of Anambra State, is currently enmeshed in a love affair with Chinazor
Elizabeth Asika, a US-based lady. The affair has been going on for a while, and it is reported to be getting more serious by the day.
However, the existence of Asika in Obi’s life, is said to be having an adverse effect on his marriage. His wife, Margaret (née Brownson Usen), is reported to be having sleepless night over the the intensity of seriousness, which the affair has assumed.
The mother of two is presently torn between wrestling her husband from the firm grip of the new mistress or looking the other way, as she has always done.
Sources revealed that, on several occasions, Margaret had battled many women, who were hell bent on snatching her husband from her, especially when he held sway as Anambra governor.
Margaret is said to have submitted herself to fate, as she seems to have gotten tired of the constant feud over Obi’s soft spot for women. Her initial position was not to bring further shame to the family by fighting , but now that they are out of office, she is ready to leave Obi to live his life as he pleases.

Sources disclosed that Margaret cannot wrap herself around how her husband could have an affair with a woman he once declared he hated with a passion.
